I need 12 guage speaker wire ASAP. Any idea how long it takes Axiomaudio to process and ship an order? I know postal canada will take about a week from Ont to Alb. But Im curious to know how long it will take AO to process the order. I cant wait till Monday to call.

Probably not. This is my weekend off and starting Monday im working 7 shifts straight. (damn fed govt) haha

Im doing a new rec room in the basement and the gyprock guy is coming next weekend. I want to run the rear speaker wire up the wall and through the ceiling before he hangs the rock so wires are conceiled. I heard axiom's 12 guage is a good wire. Im not prepared to buy local 12 guage in Brooks for Monster cable at 2.00 a foot.

Not to undersell Axiom but you could also try Solens.ca
They have good, inexpensive wire.

Axiom would ship faster though.

I think if you called Axiom on Sunday the shipment would be out Monday and if you are willing to pay the overnight shipping charge you should have it Tuesday via Purolator.

Although you should be using CL2 rated wire to run in the walls, such as the stuff you can get from Home Depot.

I received my speakers before I got the email saying that my speakers were shipped. I didn't have time to use the tracking number!

Axiom has always processed my orders within 24 hours with A stock items. If you ask them to ship your items with overnight delivery, you will receive it the next day. It would cost you extra. I have used overnight delivery with pizza companies that offer international shipping...yum yum.

Seriously? What are these pizza companies? I want to be fat from afar.

It is Buffalo,NY style pizza. Thicker crust and they go really heavy on the toppings and cheese. I really like the sauce they use myself. This pizza is not for people that are watching their waistline. I am usually full after a couple of slices. Buffalo wings are money too \:\) . I recently shipped out some pizzas to some relatives that recently moved down to Florida. Since it is a perishable food product you have to use overnight shipping which makes it very expensive.

Yeah, I wouldn't do it all of the time, but I like the occasional splurge for something special. I'll wait until certain friends can enjoy it with me and then order some. Thanks for the link.

By the way, what are your favorite pizzas from there?
Posted By: BlueJays1 Re: How fast is shipping? - 04/19/09 07:09 PM
It reminds me of childhood.

The pizza is partially cooked, flash frozen, packaged then shipped. The pizza should arrive nice and cold. Reheat at 450 degrees until the crust is nice and crispy and cheese is melted.

I like everything I have tried. They go really heavy on toppings. I like only 2-3 toppings on my pizza. A pizza with 3 toppings from them is just loaded \:\) .

I have had pizzas that include anything from pepperoni, bacon, sausage, chicken, onions, green peppers, black/green olives and anchovies. A basic cheese and pepperoni is delicious as well but any toppings that one would like on their pizza would be good IMO.

Good to know. Thanks again. I'll have to organize a pizza party now.

This is an idea of what the pizza looks like (typical buffalo style)...this one has quite a few toppings on it.

Do you not have a local store or home improvement store you can get wire from, that would be the same day, instead of waiting a week? Maybe you live in the boonies, not sure.. ;\)

When I sent 2 sheets of pizza (2 toppings and the other with 3) to Florida it cost around $100 in total \:o . But like you said, it was for a special occasion. You have to speak to a manager over the phone to order by the way. The sauce they use is very unique, which I love.

I apologize to the OP for the hijack.

This wouldn't BE the Axiom forum without a hijack....especially involving food.

I've come to the conclusion that all of you are just skinny, hungry people.

Prolly too late but your local Home Depot or equivalent probably carries 12 gauge speaker wire.
Posted By: Adrian Re: How fast is shipping? - 04/21/09 05:24 PM
I've seen 14 gauge just about everywhere, Walmart, HD, Princess Auto, Rona(I think) ect, but 12 gauge is a little harder to find.
Posted By: Murph Re: How fast is shipping? - 04/21/09 05:46 PM
Home Depot, bulk sections. Where they likely have a giant rotating rack of wire reels, not the actual speaker wire section.

However, if you can wait, most of the other choices mentioned above are much easier to work with. The Home Depot stuff is super stiff and is so hard and brittle at the ends, you might want to wear gloves when your working with it. Fine for runs you won't be playing with again for a long time.
