are there any cheap alternatives to the wall mounts axiom sells? $80 seems very steep to me.
I will guess you are asking about other than the T brackets they come with?
Any mount that can handle 11 lbs and can make use of the single bolt in the back will work. A few have simply used some L brackets.
yeah, i dont have the t brackets anymore. i had the wooden stands and boy they suck. cheapest wood known to man...
Pete, why not give Axiom a call and ask them if you could purchase a pair of the regular T-brackets?
now there's an idea!!! why didnt i think of that
It was too obvious.
Proving once again there are no dumb questions in a forum.
Does anyone else wish Axiom would make the QS8 T brackets from thicker metal? Personally, I think they're rather flimsy for the ~15lb QS8s.
I have no complaints, but I can see what you're saying. Considering the way the weight hangs from them, they're certainly strong enough for the job, but before you get them on the wall, they're easy to bend out of shape.
I've never heard of one falling due to a failure of the bracket.
If the bracket is installed correctly, it's fine, it really get's it's strength when it's screwed to the wall.
No complaints from me about the T bracket, it works as planned.
Its just enough bracket for the job. The only problem I ever had with the T bracket is that it can be a challenge to get the speakers on properly.
How can I assign points to this response??
I found the
T-brackets by accident when I was looking for the owners club. Thought I'd post.
