Hey guys, just looking for a basic rundown on how I should integrate a pro amp to power a sub project I'm working on. my system consists of M60's, VP150, QS8's and EP500 powered by Dennon 3808.

I would like to add a Behginger EP 2000 to power a 15" sub I will be constructing very soon. The sub will be ported and tuned to 30hz. I'm looking for some insight on how to incorporate the amp into my system. Most likely the sub will be placed far from the EP500, so daisy chain is probably not an option.

Thanks for any advice.

Demetrios, I'd think that the basic connection would simply be the use of a Y adaptor at the 3808 sub out, the usual coaxial cable with RCA plugs to the EP2000 and an RCA to TRS adaptor there to connect to the TRS input.
Ok, call me rookie. I have been looking at adapters at monoprice and still a little confused on the proper products to order. Any chance for a link to monoprice for Y adapter for sub out and TRS adapter to TRS input? Sorry to be a pita, but obviously I want to order the right products. I will be ordering bulk speaker wire for wiring entire system in wall. 12 awg appropriate for runs no longer than 30 ft? Thank you.

Demetrios
12 gauge is good for up to 100ft runs IIRC, so you should be good there.

These will work for the sub splitter

I think this might be the TRS adapter you are looking for

Okay, into 3808 sub out you can plug this , then this to the TRS adaptor and into the sub amp. As far as the speaker wire, I'll point out(at no extra charge)that you don't really need 12ga for those lengths and 14ga would do the job, as the Russell article indicates. Here's some 14ga , for example, depending on how much you need in total.

You know, Demetrios, after preparing all these links, it does seem that you're a bit of a pita(just kidding!).

Jason, shame on you for encouraging Demetrios to splurge on that 38 cent TRS adaptor!
My bad frown I should have looked a little harder for a more inexpensive one smile
