6 ohm vp150 with 8 ohm amp (JVC RX-517VTN)

Have an old jvc amp (JVC RX-517VTN) 8 - 16 ohm, hooked up to a pair of m3's (8 ohms) and would like to pair it up with a vp150 (6 ohms) would doing so would it damage the amp or speakers?
