Hey all,
Plan on ordering the M22ti's along with speaker cables. I'm gonna get the 2 meter coax cable but I have no idea what kind of speaker cables I should get. I have the Denon 1804 reciever and there are a lot of big round screws in the back. Please help a newb out! Thanks!

Munch, welcome. You haven't described what the coaxial cable would be used for. It might be used to connect the digital output of a player to the digital input of the 1804, but players commonly are supplied with a coaxial cable which can be used for that purpose. As far as speaker cables, if your M22s aren't going to be a great distance away from the 1804(e.g. more than about 30 feet)which isn't likely, then two lengths of regular 16ga lampcord is all you need to connect the main speaker outputs of the 1804 to the speaker terminals of the M2s.

thanks for the quick reply! is there anywhere on axiom's website to order some lampchord? also, i'm still trying to decide between these m22's and the energy C3's. if you or anyone else have some advice about this it would be greatly appreciated.

A lot of board members use the bulk wire you can pick up at Home Depot. 16 gauge will work fine but you can use 12 gauge if you have longer runs, or just like the idea of using a thicker wire.

I have had good experience using wire from Parts Express. At $19 for a 100 ft. roll, this wire has worked great for me.

As far as connections are concerned, bare wire, banana plugs, or spades can be used to connect to the binding posts on the back of the 1804. All provide a good connection, although I prefer the banana plugs for the convenience they provide (easy to disconnect when if you ever need to move things around). The ones I linked to just screw onto bare wire. You attach them to the receiver by turning the binding posts on the back of the receiver until they are completly closed, then insert the plug into the hole in the middle of the post.

You're going to love the M22's. I have a set myself and have been really happy with them. What are you using for a sub? Is this for a 2 channel or multichannel/HT setup?
