Do the RCA outputs on the back of the Onkyo M-282 power amp output the exact same signal that I feed it via the preamp? Is it attentuated at all?

If not, I want to use that for the subwoofer. I want to use a soundcard as a source in a future setup - I have a few picked out with sufficient voltage output and sound quality, but the fewer the soundcard outputs, the more money in my wallet. I want that Onkyo because it can be had for $150 refurbished, which is a steal for an amp of that weight and quality.

Thanks.

The output from the M282 to the speakers is amplified.

TH, the line level outputs on the back of the M-282 would be just a parallel connection to the second M-282, or in your use to the inputs of the sub amplifier. No appreciable attenuation is involved and the same signal would be fed to the sub amp.

Uhh.. yeah, that was implied in it being a power amp. o_O I was asking wheather the RCA outputs on the back will pass on the original signal so I can connect a sub to it. My bad for the crappy wording.

Thanks JohnK!
