Hi guys - I have a Cambridge Audio A500 integrated amp. It is rated for 6-8ohm speakers, but the dealer said it would handle 4ohm load without any problem. I've got a pair of m80ti towers on the way. Any input as to whether the A500 will work with them? appreciate it, larry d.

The CA A500 you have is a really fine (and by the way - attractive) mid power (65w at 8 ohms - 85w at 6 ohms) integrated amp. The M80s are quite efficient. You should have no trouble driving the speakers to comfortably loud listening volumes (unless you set them up in a REALLY large room or have other unusual circumstances).
I think you are gonna really enjoy what you hear. And please let us know how it all turns out!

Thanks for the input. I was just worried about the 4 ohm rating on the m80ti's. Anxiously awaiting delivery...does fedex deliver on saturdays?????
fedex does saturday delivery for an extra 10 or 15$ i think.
yea, the cambridge is a gorgeous unit, and it will play those M80's amazingly as long as, like randyman said, you're not partly deaf or have a very large room, like a loft.
I have a pair of m80's with an onkyo 787 receiver rated at something at 130 watts @4 ohms and I set off the protect mode three times already.needless to say I'm looking at adcom amps now,or maybe carver.other than that my m80's sound awesome.
