Leave it to Joe, our curator! Joe has found a few of the old brochures, complete with specs, for the older Axiom series. Send me your address and I'll mail one out to you. amie@axiomaudio.com Thanks!
Hi kipi and freesey,

Out of curiosity, I delved into the Sound&Vision (Canada) Audio/Video Preview 1996 Directory issue, the last one I worked on as editor-in-chief before I left Canada for the US.

Looked under "Axiom" in Loudspeakers, and there it was:
The AX 1.2 Center Channel, $149 each Canadian, acoustic suspension, with 3 drivers--two 5 1/4-inch woofer/midranges and a 3/4-inch dome tweeter. Claimed frequency response was 90 Hz - 22 kHz, with sensitivity at 92 dB/1watt/1metre, power handling from 15 to 100 watts, weight 8 lbs., and it was specified as an 8-ohm speaker.

According to the Directory, there was also a bass-reflex AX 1.2 bookshelf 2-way system ($199). I found it in my archives as far back as the 1991 Audio/Video Preview. I'll check my archives, but I believe we reviewed the 1.2 when it was introduced. More research on the way. . .

Regards,

Hi Alan....

Humm i was was just woundering if the people at axiom have a sort of musium of some sort, like a room of all the past successful speaker models since the begining of axiom .. and as per company profil on the site, the story of Ian's first set of speakers he made and sold, woundered if he ever tried to trace the pair to showcase them....

Thanks Alan; at least I know the specs now
