Axiom Home Page
Hello Axiomites. I recently discovered the Axiom website and am looking forward to taking the VP150 center channel for an audition real soon. I have an Infinity Alpha 37C that does a pretty good job, but I'm going to compare one speaker to the other with the same music and dvd tracks. I desire to hear a speaker that can beat the Infinity Alpha 37C hands down, no contest. My center channel will be on ebay so fast to help pay for my new VP150, it would make your head spin. If you are in the Wichita, KS area and have a setup, I would love an invite to your place for some music tracks or some good movie scenes. Thanks.
Brian, welcome. If you check the list in the audition thread, you'll see two Wichita possibilities. The usual procedure is to send a PM to try to make direct contact. As the listing states, you might also ask Axiom for assistance in arranging an audition.
what front speakers are you going with?
I have Infinity SM-152s for fronts and Infinity SM-100s for surrounds. The surrounds are really bookshelf speakers, but they work for now till I can save up enough money to purchase the QS8s.
Generally speaking you want the same line of speakers across the 3 fronts. I would be worried about not having proper timbre matching if you went with infity fronts and an axiom center.

Surrounds are not as big of a concern.
I hear you David. Money is an issue, so I'm leaning toward the M22s and a sub versus the M80s and no sub. Till then, I'll just have to put up with a little unmatched timbre.
you don't mention your roomsize, but M22's and a good sub work great in our upstairs livingroom.
If you don't find anyone in wichita and want to make the 3 hour trip down to Tulsa I have m80s vp150 QS8s and ep500.

for the price of gas round trip u would probably be better off just auditioning in your own home with the 30 day trial.
Right now, it's 12' wide and 43'deep with the rear surrounds placed behind the couch at 16' deep. I will be moving soon, so the speakers will come with me to a more proportional sound-proofed area to meet the WAF. Right now I can't turn the music up late at night when I listen to music and she's sleeping because the bass radiates up into the bedroom. In the new house, it will be as far away from the bedroom as possible. I've read all the reviews about the M22 and I'd love to try them out. It's going to be tough for me to get rid of the SM-152s. They are the best I've heard so far. It's hard to wrap my mind around the logic of 2 5.25" woofers putting out better music than a 15" woofer and 2 4" midranges (one to one).
You will most likely hear better midrange and up from the M22s but you will sorly miss those 15" drivers, which is why the M22s are usually paired with a sub. The M22s do an admirable job with bass but no where near what yu are getting from the SM152s
BKWichita,

I will contact you via PM and see what we can do. I think you may need some M60s to go with that VP150. \:D
