New picture added. We replaced the VP 150 with a 160. Yes, it was a good call, although I think it looks a bit, um, disproportionate in this setting.
A/B listening at Axiom, which resulted in the VP150 choice, was all music, but really maybe 85% of what happens in there is movies. The 160 is clearly more muscular and adds a lot of punch.

Well I wish I hadn't looked at that...

Anyway, I have one window in there with a solid shutter. So it's lights out to watch the television and with grilles on I really don't see the speakers at all.

It would be a good room for a projector but it's a bit narrow and I have to work out how not to have the towers in the way of the screen. One day.

1st attempt in this narrow room.
I thought I needed 12" to get above the bottom cross member. I settled at 3". The bottom ports inline with the cross member now.

This was before I added a pile more roxul in the corners.
The screen slides forward and back, tight to the stands the towers are on. A 2x4 across the wall +/-3" off the floor holds the screen in place.

I'm not in the picture.
