I used to own a pair of those Yamahas and used them as surrounds in my first 5.1 frankenstein system. They were ok but I made sure to cross them over high. 100hz or so. They will sound better with time. Pretty harsh out of the box I found. Darn,

The duct putty is so worth it though over the putty pads for the price. Your fingers needed a good workout.
