They need to increase the number of characters you can put in ur sig... I know limiting it can help performance, but I think the design of these boards is optimised for a 486.

Yeah; my wife keeps sayin' I should retire my PS2 Model 50

But it IS faster than my old XT.

Which is faster yet than my Atari 130 XE.

I'd have gone with an Atari ST with the new Motorola chip, but Charlie Chaplin with his stack of old software on 7.5" floppies talked me out of my Beta-esq silliness!

Actually I felt that a better PQ outweighed a bit longer recording time; but that's another story!(I pitched out my old Sony Beta machine, with the wired remote, just last year when we moved, and I realized that the "drop-outs" far outweighed the recorded dataon the old, well worn tapes!)

Funny how we all view things differently, I have sigs turned off as I find them visually irritating.

I agree...I don't like being forced to read the same thing over and over. You just naturally end up reading it as part of the message since it is there.

I put my stuff into a graphic and link the graphic as my sig. I see this all over other forums, but I am one of the few people that does it here, so I am actually going to just turn it off. I thought that I would be "advertising" myself as a source for answers to questions about the gear I own, but I find that I don't get any questions about my specific set up, and if people want to see what I have, they can hit my website.

This should make FordPrefect and Zarak happy....

Actually I'm happy either way. As I said; I have them turned off, so it really doesn't matter what anyone does.

Use 'em if you've got 'em.

I agree sometimes ppl take their sig too far and it can be anoying to look at over and over again...

but this is my sig, and its at the very limit of allowed chars:

Axiom Passionate People, Excellent Sound - Ben (Me)
