Pairing the Axioms i am getting on Monday to a Denon 2805.

My question is with video sources from my dvd player and my cable box. Should I send the video and audio through my reciever or should i send the video straight to the tv kind of like cutting out the middle man and the audio through the reciever.
If it helps tv is 34xbr910
dvd is pioneer dv-563a
cablebox is SA 8300hd
Any help would be appreciated

Tas

Well, I suppose there are a few questions.

1) Do you want to watch cable using your Axioms?
2) Do you want to press multiple buttons on remotes to change sources?
3) Do you have a useable universal remote to press said multiple buttons?

My answers were
1) Yes
2) No
3) No

So I run my video through the receiver. It probably doesn't matter with regular SD, but the purists will tell you to only only only switch HD with your video unit, because "Our Signal!"

The nice thing about the Denon 2805 is you can combine all your Component/Svideo/Composite signals into the receiver, and then just send one Component to your TV, reducing the number of cables to the TV. Now if your TV has DVI or HDMI, then you'll have to run that direct to the tv for the video as the Denon does not support those formats.

I run my video through my 3805 with one video out with no loss of signal quality.
