hi i know when you put a magnet next to a crt tv it can damage the colour but can they also damage lcd tv although my centre speaker is magneticly shield i just i want wana know anyway

I don't believe so. Since there is no electron gun to be deflected by a magnet, it should be ok. Of course, hard drives can still be damaged, so don't use your laptop as a refrigerator.
