I am using a Denon AVR 5805 receiver with

Axiom:
2x M80 Front Speakers
6x QS8 Surrounds
1x VP150 center
1x Subwoofer EP500

It is configured for 9.1 surround. The system sounds great as it is, but is there some recommended settings that I should set in this receiver to really take advantage of these axiom speakers?

Sith, welcome. Although you've described your speakers and receiver, you haven't said what the present "settings" are and how they were arrived at.

The only thing I have changed from factory settings are:
1.Speaker Distance
2.Turned on rear speakers A&B for 9.1

I did not change anything else. I guess it would be best if I ran through the settings on the receiver tom and post them.

What many of us do is set all the speakers to small, crossover on the receiver set at 80, and the sub on bypass.

You'll also want to get an SPL meter and level match your speakers.

Also, subwoofer placement is pretty important. Where is yours in your room? Better yet, post a pic or a diagram.

Yes, I think many of us are curious about your room dimensions and configuration.

Welcome, btw.
