Ian, I've recently purchased a pair of M3ti, and to my great surprise upon opening the box, I immediately noticed that the speaker design itself has been slightly changed. That is to say, the main driver in the speaker now features a rubber surround; the demo models I've seen in the past all had foam surrounds. In fact, the foam surround was the one detail that had me on the fence before purchasing, so you can imagine how pleased I am to find this change you've made. Also, both the box and the manual indicate the model number as M3ti-SE (Special Edition? Second Edition?) I must say, I'm somewhat surprised that this positive change hasn't been mentioned on your site. Lastly, do the rest of the models in the line-up feature rubber surrounds (M22, M40, M50, M60, M80)? How about the subs? My EP-175, purchased Nov.'99, is foam surrounded. Thanks for your time, I'm constantly astounded by my M3s!

Dave.

The entire Millennia line (save the EP175) was manufactured with rubber surrounds. At one point the rubber surrounds had a foam trim, but the rubber has always been there. The Second Edition M3 has a slightly changed wedge shape, with less rounded corners but the same clear, crisp sound they're famous for. Glad to know you like them!

In what month did the second edition come out? Thanks!
