Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knew whether it was possible to audition speakers at Axiom. I could find some in my area, but Axiom HQ is only about 65km from my cottage, so I am in the neighbourhood quite often so to speak.

If anyone has done this, or knows if it can be done, I would be quite interested.

Tyler

Sure can! Other members here have toured the facility. Give Axiom a call and see if they can set something up with you.

Thanks!

Good to know, I'll give them a call next week.

LOL...

Seriously, please do post back with pictures and thoughts from your visit. Fredk did this not long ago and posted a lot of information after his trip. Those first-hand reviews after doing A/B testing are awesome to read, and very hard to duplicate anywhere outside of Axiom's shop.

Well, with a little bit of effort and some extra receivers and cables...

Yup. It was a beautiful day for a drive up North too. Maybe they have the new demo room up now. It was a pile of lumber when I was there.

Its really, really nice to have everything level matched and hooked to an a/b switch. I was actually considering either the M22 or M60 as fronts until I compared them to the M80s. As a bonus you get a tour of the place.

I actually got my camera as far as the demo room, but totally forgot to take any pictures and everybody here still talks to me... most of the time. ;\) My only real regret on that one was that I had a chance to snap a pic of the green and blue audiobites together. That would be a real 'collecters item' around here.

Make sure if you go to the factory to bring a van with lots of room. I've been to the factory 4 times now and I always leave with more than I came with I never have to worry about shipping delays or mishandled boxes either ;\)

There's a large growing base of Axiom owners in the GTA, you may want to check out some systems in peoples homes as well. I've had a few people audition at my place and always look forward to checking out their setups once purchased.

I'm not in the GTA. I live in Ottawa. The Axiom factory just isn't very far from my cottage.

You may want to contact Amie as I believe there's 2 active board memebers in the Ottawa area. Regardless, you want to go to the factory as it's something everyone should do at least once ;\)

Tyler I live in Peterborough if that's anywhere close to your cottage. Visitors are always welcome!

I auditioned my speakers there last summer & am planning on heading back shortly. I originally ended up spending way more than planned and my wife still managed to convince me that we need to upgrade this year. Heh...darn...twist my arm...

They really need to invest in a beer & wine (WAF factor) fridge.

Jim, if I lived that close, I think I would be up there every other week for an audition!
