Michael, as the title suggests, Happy Birthday! Enjoy yourself. But not too much. We don't want to get any calls from the police department. . .

Are you referring to your gut or to the consequences of the alcohol consumed the previous night? (Some cultures incessantly tease the person with the birthday. I'm just giving you some multicultural flavor...)

Lol, two days of being hungover is a new record record for me, my wife had to recap most of my adventures, I remember opening 5 bottles of wine, J. Lorh Cab reserve, Lamborn Zin, Rockpile road Zin, an expensive Malbec, I believe it was a Catalina or some such name, and a Luna Sangiovese. We then proceeded to take shots and empty two bottles of flavored Tequila. That's about the last I recall until waking up Sunday with various friends of ours passed out on beds and couches. As I get older my powers of recovery seem to be taking longer, so I'm on the wagon until the 4th of July when we head to Paso and the beach for the weekend for my brother in laws annual wild party, god help me. Thank god my wife doesn't drink much and keeps a good eye on me.

Flavored Tequila……, AFTER – red wine?? Surprised your hangover didn’t last three or four days. Never, never follow red wine with anything but beer and always drink once for once wine to water too. I can’t help but laugh though. I don’t follow my own advice and suffer from wine hang over’s that follow with a bottle of whatever I, or someone else just happens to mention when we are already on our lips. It was Yager and cherry vodka with red bull last time.....uggggg. That Lamborn is pretty hot too. A bottle of that will make a 300 pound man whimper the next day.
I’ve been told I get a belated b-day party this Saturday and to expect a few ‘good ones’. Considering we had a few dandies last weekend, including Quintessa, Shafer, Don Melchor, Rudd, and very hard to find Peter Michael unfiltered chard, I’m pretty excited.
