I bought Battlefield 3 and Dead Island for the PC.

Battlefield 3 was a mistake. I should have waited until everyone weighed in on the horrible Origin software you have to install and run with it. It really contaminates the experience. I didn't get too far into it because of how turned off I was after the install.

Dead Island seems like it can be fun, but I'm barely into that one, too. I do appreciate the games I buy on disc that will automatically activate on Steam. I really wish EA had done that for Battlefield 3 instead of coming up with that Origin software.

Now that Infinity Ward is responsible for the Nov 8 release of MW3, I'm under the impression the Spec Ops mission will be back. Can't wait to play this game.

Just a reminder. MW3 gets released this Tuesday the 8th and Skyrim on Friday, the 11th. Big week! Then 4 days later, the 15th, Bungie is releasing Halo: Combat Evolved remastered for the 360.

Skyrim I'm getting right away, but I'm sure I'll end up with the other two not too long after.

I am going to pick up both MW3 and Skyrim, but Halo: Combat evolved looks like it would make for excellent value for just a rental. I will eventually buy that one too because they are not charging full price for this game like they would a new release. It is my favorite of all the Halo campaigns. The engine is exactly the same, just a major graphics overhaul. Remember the uber pistol? LOL

God, I loved the pistol in the original Halo.

So no real tweaks to the gameplay mechanics, then? I thought they might be tempted.

I've been playing Dues Ex and Rage, both pretty fun. Tonight I decided to try out DC Universe for the hell of it since its F2P now. Got my char created then got stuck in a queue to log in so gave that up.

That's my understanding CV. I believe the gameplay, weapons, mechanics and controls are all the same.

UPS just delivered Skyrim, but I’m half way through “Captain America” hell of a dilemma.

If you have the 360 version does it only have a loose cover? And if you take it off it's just a green see through case? It's cheap looking and I don't like it. It's like they made a mistake or they cut costs because of the quality map they provided in the case. But the game so far that I have played briefly is really good.
