While I love these movies, I really do not think I could do extended versions. Time and content will tell though.

I’ll be waiting for the extended versions too. Not happy they are releasing them this way but at least this will give ample time for people to review how well the PQ and SQ are compared to the standard def.

I’ve already found myself passing of some Blu-ray versions of movies I really like because they don’t appear to be much of and improvement over the standard def.

Yeah, I don't anticipate them doing much to improve this.

I was going to post this (original Planet of the Apes set) the other day when a friend called me and I asked him to order it for me at $42 but when I got home the price whet back up. It dropped low again but not as good however if anyone wants to monitor it here it is.

Blu-ray.com rates the first movie well with descending quality as the series progresses. Sort of like the quality of the movies IMO.

Yes I lucked out my friend spotted it and thought to call me at work to tell me about it. I don’t us DOD computers for such things to I asked him to also order one for me. Somehow when going through old shows/movies I might want if the price was right I had missed putting that one in my shopping cart so I could monitor the price.
