Fallout 3 is such an unbelievable game. The attention to detail of a game of this size is remarkable! In my opinion this is the best game released in 2008 so far. Still have to wait for Gears of War 2 and COD5 :):):).

I've been trying to decide whether I would like Fallout 3. I like the idea of games with actual choices, etc., but I simply couldn't get into Oblivion. Paralysis by analysis, that sort of thing.

I liked Oblivion a lot and I think this is a much better game. Fallout 3 is way more polished than oblivion and I like the combat system (V.A.T.S) better. A simple way to describe Fallout 3 is a mix of a first person shooter mixed with Oblivion RPG elements. kcarlile I would suggest you read some reviews of Fallout 3 to see if this game is for you. Here is one to start...:) http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/924/924165p1.html

I have Fallout3 sitting on my coffee table and haven't even popped it in!
I already made the mistake of putting in littleBIGplanet and now I am playing that instead of Fable II which I only rented.

terzaghi when you decide to play it, you are in for a real treat. It is such a great game. Let us know what you think of it when you get some time to play it:).

Yeah, I read the arstechnica review, but I'm still not sure. I mean, I enjoyed WoW (totally different, I know), but it was still a whole lot more guided than Oblivion. I just had the constant feeling in Oblivion that if I didn't take care of this quest NOW then something horrible would happen but look there's that quest, better do that now, oh crap, what about this other quest! Arg!

After reading everything you guys just said about Fallout 3, I had to order it, I even added next day shipping so I would have it by Friday (the wife and kids are going out of town for the weekend so I wanted it by Fri.) I'm also really intrigued by Little Big Planet, if it's as good as it looks on the trailer I'll have to get that also, I'm just wondering if it's easy enough for my 7 year old to play also.

Three part post:
part 1: Yeah, with Oblivion you just have to learn to accept the fact that you are going to have a huge list of active/unfinished quests.... quests get dumped on you from right and left!
It seems like 2 new quests get assigned to you for every 1 you complete!
Part 2: I just called circuit city and verified that they are giving away the 1600 MS point cards with the GOW2 purchase. They said they don't do pre-orders though so I imagine you would have to get there pretty early to get a copy.
I have one pre-ordered at gamestop as a fallback though.
Part 3: And finally, I think the PS3 online system SUCKS. I was going to get Socom on the ps3 a while back but there were server issues that basically made the game unplayable.
The LittleBIGPlanet servers were up for a couple of hours the other day but other than that they have been down due to 'server issues'
The sad thing is that both of those games had extensive beta trials that SHOULD have given the developers enough time to work that kind of crap out.
I know that when buy Gears of War 2 I can pop it in my 360 as soon as I walk in the door and connect to a game in a flash. That is why I don't mind paying $50 per year for the xbox live service.
