Randy, maybe go into the settings and delete the Wifi setup and redo it.

After redoing it, test the channel. If it works, then try the weather and news.

You could have an iffy Wifi location where your Wii is located. The Wifi antenna is located near the back of the Wii. If you installed it inside your A/V rack, the antenna is not optimal. Also, if you have a lot of 2.4GHz Wifi equipment around (including 2.4GHz phones) it could be interfering w/ the connection.

This is one of the reasons why I just switched it to a wired connection. I found a cheap $20 USB to ethernet adapter and use that. WAY more reliable. I think it's an Airlink 101 but you can google to find others that might work.

Another thing to try would be to turn off WEP on your router and reset the connection to see if there is an encryption problem. Then you could turn it back on and start digging into if it is a WEP issue.

BTW, I have husband & wife friends that also have a Wii, and I must say...we're addicted to MarioKart! I can play from home, connect with both of them, and the 3 of us can play as a team online against up to 9 additional players from around the world. Usually, one of us will try to gain the most points while the other 2 attempt to 'spoil' for him/her (hehe). Superbly designed software! Many strategies and tactics to employ. There really hasn't been much else I've liked for the Wii except for Zelda. I've got the Xbox 360 as well, but 95% of my console gaming is on the Wii.

I agree, MarioKart is fun with multiple people!! Once you get used to steering it is a blast.

Well I grabbed LittlBIGplanet for PS3 and Fallout 3 for 360 today.

I orginally got Fallout 3 on PS3 but I later read that the 360 version was better and that the PS3 version had a lot of bugs so I swapped it out for the 360 version.

I am busy playing Fable II right now so I haven't even tried Fallout, but I did try LBP. It is a VERY innovative game and I think it is really going to be fun.

Working now, I think it was because I didn't read the agreement. So to play games online, I assume you have to purchase the game?

David, I'm going to have to live vicariously through you for now. I'd love to hear your extended thoughts on all of those games as you play them more.
