I had a feeling this would be a benchmark release for the Hi-Def format. The movie was truly awe-inspiring (at least for me) in the Imax theater. I can't wait to pick this up on Blu-ray.

Cool. It sounds like they are going to do the same "swapping" between the "regular" and the IMAX footage on Blu-Ray as it did in the IMAX theater. Our IMAX is a dome version, which isn't designed for feature films, so I am excited to see this "combo" style at home.

The movie was truly awe-inspiring (at least for me) in the Imax theater. I would have liked to have seen it in an IMAX theater, but the pilgrimage turned out to be a little too inconvenient to arrange. I wish our area would get its own, as well as start attracting more musical acts.

It releases on Blu-ray Dec. 9, I've got mine pre-ordered on Amazon for $23.99, they are already predicting it will shatter all sales for previously released titles.

Hmmm, pre-order "The Dark Knight" or buy Christmas presents for the family??? I think I'll conveniently leave it in my cart as I purchase a gift for someone else on Amazon. . .

I saw it first in a regular theater and a second time in an IMAX. It really was awe inspiring in the IMAX both visually and sonically. This IMAX surround system beat the crap out of our local theater, and they had just upgraded everything a year ago or so.
