Still reading Russell Brand's book, and his writing makes me sick: "Life is not a theme park and if it is the theme is death." He has a lot of phrasing I wish I'd come up with.

I'm not aware of Lisa Hannigan. I'll have to check her out, even if it makes Regina jealous.

Maybe that is the reason TO check her out. Best way to make someone come running back to you (or to you in the first place) is to pretend like you like someone else. relationships 101.

I'm reading it for the 4th time - it's one of my all time favourite SF books.

Book of Negros, by Lawrence Hill . (Also Canadian.)
For historical fiction, especially one based on the life of a girl who survives slavery, it's actually somewhat more uplifting than depressingm, at least as you move towards the end.

I don't have this book, but I'm thinking I may have to get it.
