Oh, I've also been watching [i]Newsradio. I wouldn't rank it among the classic sitcoms, but I always thought it was solid,
I used to like that one but it wasn't a regular watch. I agree it was 'solid.' What it sometimes lacked in writing was usually made up for by the talented cast. Matheww's (Andy Dick) scene where he sings a song about slaying some monster with a plus three magical sword is the biggest reason why I stopped telling people that I used to play Dungeons and Dragons. As for Summer Glau, I liked her in Firefly but she is mostly eye candy as a terminator. Although, to give her credit, playing a machine that is supposedly totally devoid of emotion, would be a tough role to get any cred for.

Doubt ... I can also see why the performances have received such praise. I watched Doubt a few days ago, wow, really liked it! Superb performance and script. I did find the very last scene a little too superfluous and 'forced' , other than that it is excellent. Still I can't see how SlumDogs would rank better than Doubt.

I can't believe someone else actually watched these My wife's been on a Jane Austin kick, so we've watched every version of Pride and Prejudice as well as Sense and Sensibility, in addition to a few other movies made from her novels. Charles I have to agree with you wholeheartedly on the attractiveness of the women in the BBC version, the one who played Elizabeth was the only gal that IMO was attractive, I'm not sure what the English find attractive but they certainly have different taste than my wife and I.
