Is there a Cliff's Notes or at least Reader's Digest version on the first chapter?
A whole chapter just seems so positively grueling otherwise.

I've slacked on reading the last two books by James P. Hogan. Although I do own everything he's written; most of it in hardback. I just learned that he died yesterday. I shall pick them back up again in his memory.

Reading this Wikipedia entry on Linn Berggren makes me sad. I preferred her vocals to Jenny's. At least now I know Linn wrote my favorite Ace of Base song, "Whispers In Blindness."
