Hi Everybody;

I'm looking to purchase the new Yamaha RX V2400 as a receiver for my system. I'm also saving up for a pair of M80's for my main left and rights. The Yamaha is only rated for 8 and 6 ohm speakers. Will it be OK to run the M80's (rated at 4 ohms)through it anyway? What, if any, problems might this cause?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

I have a old DSP 1000 Yamaha that I ran a set on M80Ti on for a long time without any problems. You might call Alan or Joe At axiom and get their advice. As long as the Amp dosen't heat up you will be allright. To make sure Call Axiom.
Good Luck,
Lee

There's a lot of Yamaha users out here, do a search and you will probably find someone with a similar setup. The M80's are an easy load, and you should be OK with that receiver.
