While some games have multiple endings to encourage replay. Dragon Age has like 8 beginnings!

I would play on easy. Even on that setting some big fights get pretty hairy.

In a dark alley? wink From a Kijiji advert listed only for a smaller town near me. I've seen listings for a larger city in the 30-50 range, but after adding gas and time...
Edit: Checked Toronto listings again and it looks like $20-30 is not unusual.

Hmm, so I could do a little trial play with a throw away character that I am not likely to choose for a run through without ruining things much.

You get a Achievement/Trophy for playing through each classes starting story. You should play at least to that point (perhaps all eight times) to get a feel for the game. Then you can go back to the class that you liked the most. You can easily do the starting story in an evening.

Thanks Chris. I'll give one character a go on easy to that first point and see how I fair.

I'd recommend playing as a mage.

Mages get really over-powered by 3/4 of the way through the game...I'd recommend playing one too (for the shear damage they can do). smile

Well, maybe you can... I, on the other hand, can die on the easy fights... repeatedly. Geez, programmable behavior for characters. I could waste hours figuring out what all this stuff does.

I don't want to think about how many hours I've used playing this type of game. I first started with Ys: The Vanished Omens on the Sega Master System (Sega's 8-bit machine) in 1988. Been playing RPGs (and racing games--started with Outrun in 1987) since then.
