Yeah, she cooked up a big ham with all kinds of side dishes, ect. Oh well, the roads were BAD, so better safe then sorry.
Here is a quote from the blizzard warning issued by the national weather service:
" Travel will become Treacherous or impossible even on treated surfaces"
They have completely shut down many of the turnpikes and interstates, and there was a 50 car pile up in Oklahoma city earlier today.

So, normal winter driving for us in the great white north.  I still remember the day my dad drove home in a blizzard where we both had our heads out the windows watching for the sides of the road.
