Great news SRoode. I would also be interested to hear about the technical changes made to the amp.

Interesting. I figured there was a redesign taking place. Sounds like better amp design with the TWO torroids, ie bi-amping the sub.

Just go in, but make sure you cough a lot and say, "Ugh, I don't feel so good," and then once your amp comes in go home sick!

No, the office is closed today. And fedex already attempted. So my problem is solved!
So do the new EP800 amps also have multiple line level inputs?

Actually, no. They have one XLR / 1/4 in Phone in and one XLR Out. They included an attached adapter on the XLR in to convert it to an RCA in. Come to think of it, this is how the A1400 is set up right? Edit: Here's a scan of the booklet:

The A1400 has both balanced and unbalanced circuits (two separate connectors to two separate daughter boards). The adapter is for RCA unbalanced to 1/4" unbalanced plugs not for balanced/unbalanced conversion.

The A1400 has both balanced and unbalanced circuits (two separate connectors to two separate daughter boards). The adapter is for RCA unbalanced to 1/4" unbalanced plugs not for balanced/unbalanced conversion. If an amp takes both balanced and unbalanced, it'll have to have some circuitry to do conversion, unless it is just throwing away half of the balanced input. It'll at least have to combine the differential signals of the balanced to go into a single ended amp. Or create a mirror of the unbalanced to go into a differential amp input.
