Sure. I give a lot of credit to Cito Gaston and his staff (Tenance, Arnsberg, Leyva, Murphy etc). I like Gaston managerial style which lets his players play. One of the main problems last year were hitting runners in from scoring position. Bringing back Gene Tenance was a brilliant move and it is evident in the turn around the Jays are in hitting which is some of the best in the league. Tenance is very good with the psychological aspects of hitting with his players as well as making quick adjustments when he notices mechanical problems with a batters swing/stance etc. Gaston/Tenance also let the batters be agressive (let the players play). If there is a good pitch early on in the count to hit, hit it! The last manager was much more conservative. The Jays pitching has been excellent in recent years and we still have a lot of good young arms and the best pitcher in the game in Halladay. We have had a lot of injuries so far in our starting pitching but the likes of Tallet, Richmond, Cecil have really stepped up and have been solid and have saved us from the early injury bug.
Go Jays!
