Grunt: Rite of Passage has some excellent LFE

I hope I get to it soon. Not likely to be playing till next weekend due to guard drill. I don’t like to play for just an hour or so. I need to block out about 6 or more hours to really get into the game so I can get the most immersion out of it.

I don't think I can pull off a straight 6 hour gaming session anymore without something...oh the undergraduate university days...

I’m not sure I could stay focused for 6 hours in an altered state but Mass Effect would so rock that way. If I really like a series even more so a game because it’s interactive I can marathon it for a good 18 hours. Can’t, nor do I want to get into doing multi-day sessions.

I sort of look at ME2 as a combination of playing a video game, watching a movie and listening to space opera all at the same time. It is an assualt on the senses. This game is something unique and special. I still stick to the point it is my favorite game under the Wii/360/PS3 era.

Intersting what my take on Bioshock 2 will be next week because I wasn't expecting the greatness (to the degree) this game (ME2) delivers and I have very high hopes for Bioshock 2.

While I enjoyed Bioshock I didn’t like it anywhere near as much as Mass Effect. So I would be stunned if Bioshock 2 beat out Mass Effect 2 for me. I’m going to try to hold off on getting Bioshock 2 since I still haven’t even taken the shrink wrap off Assassins Creed or The Orange Box yet.

I’m interested to hear your take on Bioshock 2 and how it compares to Bioshock 1.

AC 1 or 2?

Orange box will be great, Half Life 2 is an all-time classic IMO - never played the console version.

Didn’t even know there was a AC 2 yet.

I bought 5 games 2 years ago when I got back from a month in Guam and still haven’t gotten to the two mentioned above and just a month ago played Bioshock. In my defense I was waiting until I bought a house so I could have a projector and screen and turn up the volume two things I couldn’t do in the apartment.

AC2 was released a few months ago.

I don’t need to know theses things. I’ve even stopped watching X-Play so I wouldn’t be tempted.
