So I am just back at my hotel room after experiencing the best culinary experience of my life. HOLY $*@!!!! I am talking better than (great) sex, here, or at least in the very same base of the same ballpark.

WOW!

It was an eight course meal, with each course paired with a beer -- either from the Belgian De Proef brewery or the Paso Robles, CA Firestone Walker brewery. There was actually a starter cider from a British cyder maker called Aspall not paired with any food. It was extremely good. As for the rest, I am too far gone to give you much detail, so you'll just have to look at this picture of the menu.

The even ran from 6:30pm to 11pm. Again, HOLY $*@!!!!

Peter, we'll give you some time to recuperate, but then we expect a detailed report!

Judging from the menu, it was a mighty fine evening.

<--insanely jealous. But also convinced I wouldn't have made it home alive. Certainly wouldn't have been alive for work today. I intend to make my boss's day miserable...

Turn up the heat, Ken! Haven't you always wanted to take up cymbals?

You could ask him if he'd like a nice, greasy pork sandwich served in a dirty ashtray.

Eh, he just left to take a 5 year old UPS over to an office that has a 6 year old UPS. I figure the thing will last about 2 months... Dang things cost $100, and we're made of money. Don't see why they can't just buy one. <grumble>
