That's funny. On a whim, I watched a bunch of Looney Tunes on Sunday.

Excellent observation about Bugs/Bob. Explains quite a lot, really.

I can't watch a Bugs Bunny cartoon now without picturing Bugs with a Bobstache.

I think you're blending Bugs Bunny with Groucho Marx.

Thankfully I don't pre-date the latter, 'cause I'm pretty sure I do pre-date the former.

Never mind. I knew I had heard your sig line somewhere. So I found the proverb (or one version of it, at least):

"In Heaven, the cars are German, the banks are Swiss, the police are British, the food is Italian, and the women are French."

"In Hell, the cars are French, the banks are Italian, the police are German, the food is British, and the women are Swiss."

The original had nothing to do with products or services, per se.

The original was about female domestic help.

Something like, "Heaven is an Irish downstairs maid, a French upstairs maid, an Italian cook, German house keeper, etc."

"Hell," naturally, was all the same characters, but with their nationalities switched around.

I only wrote it (Hell is for Pat Benatar and French autos), because, now as St. Bob, I was just let in on that fact. I have become privy to many others, which I may or may not divulge, but only on holy days of obligation.
