I had my first ever Goose Island beers a couple days ago. I found them in Missouri just over the border from Arkansas. The town I was staying in is in Boone County, which is dry. frown

I had both the Honker's Ale, a British-style special bitter that was great, and the IPA, which was quite excellent with a fantastic floral aroma.

I am trying to re-capture my youth as a young undergrad student. God, I miss Hess Village and the atmosphere tired . While not the best beer in world, pints pitchers of Rickard's Red on tap always tasted soooooooooo good there. That's what I am drinking tonight.

Had a bottle of this at home. Go fig! Started it a couple of nights ago and finished it last night. Not as good as on tap, of course, but still really tasty.

I am not buying any beer (to have at home) until I have a homebrew in the fermenter. I recently acquired/purchased the equipment I need to brew 5 gallon batches, so the only thing holding me back now is to decide on a recipe and buy the ingredients.

How about a "Boston Cherry Ale" or a "Quad Fermentation Surround Firebrew" or a "In-wall/On-wall Reserve of Dwight"?

I'd prefer a "Cinnamon Beech Draught".

Whatever beer types you choose, Peter... if you're bringing it to Dwight it should be a V3 beer.....
