I have been watching Phineas and Ferb, on Disney XD. Love the recurring gags. Gotta get myself a pet platypus.

Bears, beets, Battlestar Galactica.

Just finished watching “Serial Experiments Lain.” It is one of the most interesting things I’ve ever watched. If I had to classify it I would call it an existentialist drama. There is no action, comedy or romance and only a little traditional suspense…so why the hell watch it. Because it’s just that good.

Don’t let the first few episodes fool you. I didn’t find them boring or anything but there’s little dialogue and you’re not quite sure what’s happening. Don’t give up thinking it’s going to stay like that because everything starts evolving. By the time it’s finished it works so many angles like God, the meaning of life, Roswell, Free Masonry, Gaia, drugs and plenty more I’ve missed...some, all or none of which might be red herrings. I imagine everyone watching this will come away with a different meaning.

It’s 13 episodes on 4 disks, but #11 is a recap done like a music video so only really 12 worth watching.

If things like “Jacobs Ladder,” “The Prisoner,” and the “concept” of “The Matrix” interest you then this is a must watch. And likely watch again.

I just watched the first episode of NCIS. I was skeptical, but I ended up finding it pretty entertaining.

I first started watching NCIS when I moved to 2nd shift at work and got hooked quickly. I think it gets better as the characters develop.

I'm still working on NCIS. The characters are such dorks. \:\)

The segment with Neil Patrick Harris on Letterman was pretty good, too. Letterman developed a beef during the course of the interview.

Saw Glee last night. Sadly, I actually liked it. Kinda hokey w/ the whole believe in yourself thing but the singing was actually well done. I liked the Amy WInehouse cover. Yeah right, those are high school kids.

BTW, what TV exec thought it'd be nice to have tweets on the screen?!?!? The last think I want to see is comments from tweens. Mystery Science Theatre this is NOT.

Also watched a Netflix stream on our Tivo last night with the kids, Never Ending Story. OMG, I forgot how much I hate that song...mostly because I can't get it out of my head now.

Thanks a lot for putting the song in ours!

I'm watching Braveheart on Blu-ray. It looks and sounds very nice. Catherine McCormack and Sophie Marceau are so pretty.

I watched Gloomy Sunday today.

The movie is set in and around a restaurant in Budapest around the time of WWII. Three main characters are a Jewish restaurant owner, his lover/waitress, and a piano player who composes a haunting song in the waitress's honor.

The song is actually real, and it's "curse" was a bit of an urban legend, on which the movie builds its plot.

I wasn't aware that there'd be a war aspect to the movie before I started it, but I enjoyed how it became a key aspect later on.

Highly recommended. Oh, and, um... boobs.

Sounds interesting. I have both the Sinéad O'Connor and Björk versions of the song, but I never really paid attention to it.

Boobs work for me.

Slim figure. My wife commented that they were pretty large for her frame. Maybe she saw me drooling.

Sword of the Stranger on Blu-ray.

I didn't really know what to expect. The plot synopsis I read didn't really jump out at me, but for some reason I wanted to watch it, anyway. I ended up really liking it. It's very pretty, well-animated, sounds great, and the story, while not the most inventive, worked for me. At least it didn't try too hard, and the characters were easy enough to like.
