Actually, they (Heart) used to rent a house in my neighborhood. My music teacher had a store in my home town and Heart used to hang out in the store all the time. The band were living down the street from my parents house. They were really cool with people who came into the store. I should have paid more attention. \:\(

This post is mostly to taunt Tom B. ;\)

Austin City Limits Music Festival starts tomorrow. 3 amazing days of music to ensue. Will provide full report when it's over (and I recover)!

How about some credit for positive karma? Maybe I'm HAPPY for you.

Or not. Bastige.

Have a great time. Tell us a story.

pmbuko and I are planning to see Jenny Lewis in D.C. tomorrow. We'll meet up at RFD, the brew pub where I met him, Ken, and Tom in October, 2006. Photographic evidence of this meeting was posted recently in the "show your face" thread.

Has it really been two years? "Time keeps on slippin' ... slippin' ... "

Gents, we'll toast in honor of those who are unable to join us. Or, we may say a lot of "Neener"s in your general direction. Depends on the moment, I think, and the kind of work day that I have tomorrow.

Follow-up to come.

Oh, and CV, I got the new Jenny Lewis CD, "Acid Tongue", and I like it a lot. It's definitely more accessible than her first album. A nice variety of tunes and styles, with country, gospel (choir-like vocals), and Motown influences. Wouldn't be surprised if Quentin Tarantino uses some tunes in a movie one day. I have only listened to it once, but I expect it to grow even more on me. It's not that often that I like a CD this much on the first listen.

Thanks for getting back to me on that. I'll have to remember that disc the next time I do an order.

TiVo is my friend.

My wife says she'll wait for me to get back to watch the debate ...
