Hi,

Looking for anyone around the Burlington/Oakville area that has the VP150 on-wall with perhaps the M22 on-wall so I can hear them?

Cheers...

flyboy, I'm sure others will chime in to help you out, but if I'm not mistaken, there are only a couple users on the forum that have the on-wall speakers (they're fairly new). I would suggest calling Axiom and asking them directly. They'll be able to let you know if there's anyone in your area (that aren't active users of the forum) with them.

Good luck!

PS. You can always drive to Peterborough to hear my M80's smile.

Hi,

As per wheelz999 comment they are fairly new to the market and Axiom does not have anyone in the Burlington area who has registered to offer audition.

Axiom offers a 30-day-in-home-risk-free-trial-period which is the perfect way to audition an audio speaker. The low cost of returning the speakers (in the off-chance that they don't meet or surpass your expectations) is far less than the inconveniences and approximate evaluations which you will suffer running from one store to the next. With an in store audition you are at risk of buying a system which will be inappropriate in your room with your electronics.

Thanks for everyone's advice. I think I'll call Axiom tomorrow and ask their opinion...

Flyboy, Jc works for Axiom, so you've already got a response smile.

Perhaps JC and Brent should have their names flagged as Alan and Ian have or at the very least have Axiom Support listed as their location.

Hi Flyboy, I recently got some M3 on wall speakers from the Axiom auction site. I haven't listened to them yet and only opened them to check the finish as they were B stock. They were sold as minor flaws and from my experience with Axiom and Axiom B stock I was rather surprised with the amount of flaws these had.

At any rate, I plan to try them out and compare them directly with my M3 outdoor speakers (which I love) to make my final decision. From a distance the flaws are not apparent.

I also have M60's, VP150, QS8's and a HSU sub.

You're welcome to come by to check them out, I'm in the Orchard. I will be hitting Niagara Falls Saturday afternoon/night. Send me a PM and we can coordinate a time if you're interested.

I really like the M3 and find that they're just a little less crisp than M60, M22 but just as detailed.

Graeme

Graeme,

Thanks for the offer! I also live in the Orchard, maybe next door, who knows (Bluespruce/Uppermiddle backing onto Uppermiddle) smile

I just ordered (yesterday) a VP100 to see how it looks in my setup. If I like it I plan on ordering a pair of M22's for the LR speakers (all on-wall versions). I came to a compromise with my wife, she liked the XTR-50's but after listening to them they sounded slightly thin and lacking in the mid's (could really tell during dialogue in a movie). I think the Axioms should sound better, having a larger driver in them and they are a compromise between a "flat" speaker like the XTR-50, and a full standing floor speaker which we really don't have the room for.

If I have any questions or want to see/hear your I'll send you a PM....

Cheers
