Civ V is great, but it's kinda nerfed. It's easier now, and they've really simplified battling. You pretty much need to go to war if you want to do well now. It's still addictive as hell though.

Got dragon age origins on PS3 for Christmas and have really been enjoying it. Off to go play some more...

Can't wait to try out Kinect with my family on New Year's. I have been too busy to partake but it looks very fun.

Got two new PS3 games for Christmas.
Demon's Souls looks like it will be a really good game, but it is HARD. When you die you start back at the beginning of the level. no saving and reloading. I got beat on as a barbarian, started over as a hunter, and am doing better. LOL! Get used to dying. And then dying some more. Seriously. The game forces you to respect it. My advice is to go slow and pay attention to the clues on the floor. Short cuts DO open up after you get far enough in some levels. You gotta earn it, though. Good luck!

Even without the floor markings, the game it self gives you a lot of clues. Just keep your eyes and ears open, and go slow.
I had some of my favorite video game moments play that game.

Well I finally got some time to play Dragons Age and so far I'm really liking it.
I started off as a dwarf. Boring. I'm not a hack and slash guy. Switched over to a mage on normal and the game got more interesting. After breezing through a few battles on normal bumped it up to hard. Just died on level 4 of the Mages tower.
I think I'll stay away from stupid hard for now. I can always bump up if my mage gets to powerful.

Kinect games with my kids, quite alot of fun. Feels a little Sci-Fi with the waving of the hands and the menus on the screen sliding by.
