Apparently in Skyrim if you steal anything from the cabin of the old lady's who teaches archery (forget her name) she sends hired thugs after you. Over and over and over again.
I tried to go back and reconcile with her as the thugs are half tough and getting rather annoying but she just keeps telling me how lonely she is. I'm afraid the only other solution is to 'remove the person paying the thugs' bills'. I'm specializing in archery. The only female who trains archery is Aela. She's a young Companion in Whiterun and trains up to level 75 (expert). Is that who you mean?

Oops nope. Sorry, looks like I read a FAQ about trainers and got the name wrong. This explains why the old bird north of Riverwood wouldn't teach me archery either. I think she is a witch from the note in her basement. Apparently she is more connected than I thought because... FYI, if you kill her to stop the goons, you get in deeper trouble. I know have the Dark Brotherhood (Assassins guild) after me. heh heh.
