Yeah, first one. I know what you mean about electronic leash. I have enough friends who are slaves. Ha ha. I'm going to try to leave it at home instead of taking it to work, but it will be handy to have it when I actually go do things. Should be a good way to track my runs when I go run with my coworker, see exactly how far we go. Does anyone have a specific app recommendation for that? My dad was thinking SpeedView would be good for that.

I've had the same old Blackberry POS for 3 years now and want to upgrade for something more modern. But I don't want a big bill either. So, I've taken the easy way out and just live with the problem.

CV, recently I upgraded my phone, as well. I did get an Otterbox protector from Amazon (seemed to be the best price) and it gets the job done. I'm not really hard on my phones, but it is nice to be scratch resistant.

Thanks, Sean. Looking at the reviews on Amazon.com, it looks like I'm going with the Commuter series case rather than the normally heavier-duty Defender line. Sounds like they didn't try so hard on the HTC Desire Defender.

Now to figure out what apps to use....

My sister suggested Evernote and Yelp, and they do seem like they'll be helpful. I'll have to actually use Evernote to take notes for stories.

Yes, I went with the Commuter model, as well. I didn't want anything too bulky. So far, it does well enough, although the silicone part of the casing seems to cling to my pocket fuzz.

I need a cleaner pocket app.

I recommend you get a Zagg invisi-shield screen protector, unless you get an otterbox that covers the screen too.

Canada. You gotta Love it!
The only country in the world that would reschedule a Federal Leaders Debate in the middle of an election because the Montreal Canadiens are playing the Boston Bruins that night.

Video footage of radiation measurements around Fukushima. As the first comment says, these guys have balls of steel! Crazy.

Only country? I am not so sure about that. Unless the President of the United States was announcing the beginning of World War 3 or any other items related to an ongoing election campaign, you don't honestly think they would attempt this on the day of the Super Bowl, do you?
