Lana Del Rey - Born to Die (Deluxe Edition)

I decided to save money by getting the MP3 download from Amazon.com instead of paying significantly more to import the CD. I don't know how much I care about her yet, so this will suffice.

"Off to the Races" is pretty catchy after it gets going and can be heard here.

I've decided I like Lana Del Rey's album pretty well. "National Anthem" is my favorite after the first couple of listens. I understand the criticisms thrown her way for some of her lyrics, but most of the time, I'm oblivious to what's actually being said in the music I listen to. I'm usually just concerned with how it sounds, and this album does engage on that level.

Chairlift - Something

I like it all right, but I think it's one I'm going to have to listen to several times to decide how much I really like it.

Rodrigo y Gabriela - Area 52

I just started listening. Entertaining enough so far. I'll have to check out the accompanying DVD and see what's on it, too.

I've got Chairlift waiting on my ottoman.

Picked up Area 52 last week. I liked the new full-band takes on their familiar songs. Stand out to me was Anoushka Shankar on "Ixtapa."
