I'm trying out Boys over Flowers on Netflix, a Korean show, after my sister mentioned it a few times. It's pretty entertaining so far. It's not competing with the best in television, by any means, but it's got characters with heart. It almost seems like a live action version of a high school anime show. The female lead's over-acting is pretty funny. She could teach Shatner a thing or two. I'm curious to see how things develop.

I'm finishing up Season 3 of "The United States of Tara".

I hate it when shows stop being quirky/funny.

The Dark Knight Rises. My wife and I found some time in our busy schedules to go to the movies. Really enjoyed this movie.

Battleship. It's out on blu-ray for 19.99 today. No 3D release.

So how was Battleship Brian?
Friends of mine didn't like it at all but I know I'll be watching it. I can never resist a sci-fi with a focus on special effects.

I thought it was a good movie. It was fun to watch, lots of action after it got started. It took a bit for the character build up of the 2 brothers involved, but overall an entertaining movie. For some reason, I thought it was another installment of the transformers movies, only with different actors. The Hasbro connection was the only connection. No transformers here.

Human Giant

Pretty funny sketch comedy show starring Aziz Ansari from Parks and Recreation, Paul Scheer from The League, and Ron Huebel from Childrens Hospital. Recommended.
