The powers that be said that due to the different interpretations of 4K, the Consumer Electronics Association this week said, "No more!"

"4K" is now DEAD. The new wording is "Ultra HD." That doesn't change anything in regards to real standards, but from now on out, you have been informed! grin

Super Ultra HD then the year after Super Duper Ultra HD....

Actually, Sony announced that they are going with 4K Ultra HD. So I guess that some people are still going with 4K somewhere in the name, despite being told by CEA not to.
