Halo: Reach

I've been watching my boys play it since it arrived yesterday, I guess FedEx actually delivers early sometimes. It looks like a lot of fun, perhaps I'll get a chance to play soon.

Yeah, I just rented it and have played for an hour and a half or so. I played the campaign some and did a little online matchmaking. IT seems like a good game but I think I'll wait to buy another game until the next COD in november.

I think I have to get a second XBox because I have two boys and one is a Halo fan while the other is a COD fan. Too much jostling over whose turn it is to play.

Halo: Reach is an impressive game. Not enough time in a day to play all the content - campaign, firefight, custom game modes. Looking forward to the juggernaut game mode.

I had Halo: Reach on preorder, but I decided to cancel and wait for the legendary edition to drop to the price of the normal edition. I finally got the limited edition of Alan Wake after being patient like that. Of course, if I was really patient, I'd just wait for Game of the Year editions of every game, with all of the DLC included.

I'm liking halo reach a lot (for a halo game). I'm not a huge halo fan, but I'm glad I gave it a rent.

If I wasn't trying to watch my spending I'd buy it to hold me over until COD comes out in Nov. I'll probably just keep it from the rental store until I beat the campaign and play as much online as I can in the 1-2 weeks I have it.

The campaign from what I have played so far is really good. There are a ton of new weapons and I love how often you have access to vehicles and then can decide if you want to beat the area with the vehicle or get off and use your own weapons. You can even drive a forklift in a few areas. LOL. I notice the AI moves a lot quicker than previous installments when trying to snipe.

In the campaign there are tons of other new additions like character customization, access to in-game abilities (sprint, drop shield, invisibility etc) and one of my favorite aspects to the new gameplay is reticle bloom.

As for the soundtrack, Halo games never dissapoint.

I am a Halo fan, not a gamer (I don't think) but I do enjoy Halo and a couple of other 1st person shooters (Far Cry, Bio Shock, etc). Halo is my fav though.

I havn't had time to do the get my copy of Reach, but I am looking forward to it. Maybe next week.
