i hope there is someone here who knows how to answer this.

for a few months now, whenever i go to this site:
http://www.blu-ray.com/
all the images (thumbnails) are blank, and nothing i do restores them.
other sites don't have any problem.
this one also does the same thing: http://www.meteomedia.com/weather/caqc0486

i'm using W7-64 along with Opera as a browser.
i've just reinstalled Windows 7 and Opera, and i still have the same problem.

anyone has any tips about this?

Have you tried a different browser?

Yeah, I think they're doing something funky with the image load. I'd try a different browser.

after reinstalling Windows, then i tried internet explorer and chrome; both worked well, showing images and thumbnails.

i then uninstalled completely Opera, reinstalled it and tried the same sites again: it worked too.
the problem seems to have been in config, but i can't see where the setup is wrong.

all's fine now. thanks for the help guys.

(8 hours lost reinstalling Windows and looking for the source of the problem, etc...)

Hi J.B. Glad to see it is resolved.

Many browsers allow you to turn off the downloading of all or some pictures as default. You can also change what default action is taken when it hits a specific file type.

I wonder if one of those setting might not have gotten changed.

this problem first happened many months ago.
when it started to happen, it was intermittent; then, one day, it got to be permanent.
sounds like a corrupt program of some sort.

Try deleting all your browser history.....maybe! I don't know.

it's ok now, i reinstalled Windows and Opera, and what did the trick is the Opera config that i threw to the waste basket.

i could never identify where in config i did something wrong, but it seemed to be in there, causing this problem.
