Seems to me you need to buy a speaker that won't fit in the cabinet. Have you looked at M80s ?

Is the idea that bookshelf speakers would be able to stay outside of the cabinet and perch on top or something ? If so that is a real good argument for bookshelf speakers.

EDIT, no I think you are saying that you would have to get bookshelf speakers in order to fit them IN the cabinet. Not nice...

If you are not playing super-loud the EP350 should still be fine. The biggest change would be that the sub would need to handle a bit more of the upper bass (M22s are usually crossed over at 80, M60s get crossed over anywhere from 40 to 80 Hz) which isn't so hard on the sub. It's those thumps and explosions which really need the power.

Put the boss in the cabinet and leave the speakers out in the open where they belong! Good luck with that manoeuvre...

That is what the closet under the stairs was designed for. The darn cabinets won't lock. Anyway, I was running the bookshelves up on top of the ent. center in the old house. Worked OK, but I would like the in your face acoustics during video and some kinds of music. I may try the same config, but it is way too tall to put 60's on. The tweeters would be at about 11 or 12' I may try the 22's and then re-allocate them to the HT room if they won't work. Or like was said, buy the M80's and act surprised at how darn big they are and bummer they won't fit in the cabinet.

One last ainbrai artfe`. Can either the m60 or m80 be run horizontal without harm. That may be my best work around to keeping it nearer the listening plane but outta sight.

Thanks a ton. As far as receiver, I am leaning Denon (3805) so this would make it a breeze for getting help from ya.

Should be putting in the Axiom order by the week of the 25th. Will be hunting the Denon by then too. Any Dallas area A/V places I should visit.
