I have M80 fronts, VP150 center, QS-8 surrounds and an EP 350 sub. Just recieved my Denon 3802 reciever and want to know if I can wire up just the fronts, center and subwoofer speakers and play music/dvds without the surrounds wired up as I have some more work to do to get the wires to the surrounds. New to this stuff and don't know if I could blow something in the Denon without the surrounds on line?

No problem, you will not damage the amp by doing this.
