QUAKEMAX - HT ROOM

Here is a preview of my new HT room.
M3, VP100 on-wall. Sharp Aquos 52'' LED.
At the bottom, are 2 X 6U rackmount I built between two floors. (The floor on the other side of this wall is about 36'' higher.)

Nice clean installation.
Looks like hard reflective room.
Nice floors though.

Thanks! It is indeed very reflective. I am actually working on fixing acoustic panels on the left and right walls.
But I am still struggling to convince the wife to put some kind of rug/carpet on the floor. wink

The wood species is called Cumaru if anyone is wondering. It is also known as Brazilian teak.

I would push for Cloth seating if the rug is a no go or at the very least wall treatments.

Thats funny, because my wife insisted on two things for the new living room:
- No carpet
- All leather sofa

The sofa is already bought, but I think I might get a chance with a smaller rug centered in the room. I got the approval for the wall treatment, I won't be pushing my luck for a couple of days laugh

I was wondering about whether or not treating the front wall. Any advice on that?

Front wall won't do much, it is at the first reflection points that you need treatments, floor, walls, even ceiling.

Try to get the room painted in flat black, as in any sane theater room design. Then, after receiving threats of divorce, compromise on a minor switch of a large area rug.

Alright. I will start with the walls and go from there.
