VP180 Center Channel

After now trying out the VP-180 alongside my M80V3's, I'm never going back. The VP-180 is phenomenal! Paired with the M80's, it gives a big soundstage. In a word, it just sounds more complete compared to the VP-160, and especially the VP-150. The only thing I like a little bit more about the VP-160 is that dialogue sounds like it is coming from a central point (which it is). But, I also love how much more dynamic the 180 is compared to the 160. The 160 put out good volume, was crisp, and full. But, the 180 puts out a big powerful sound with more dynamic range, punch, and it plays nice and loud without straining. It really is like the 150 is a v4 engine, the 160 is a v6, and the 180 is a big-block v8. I recently installed some Aura Pro bass shakers under the couch (I always used to think they were stupid, esp. since I have a big SVS sub) but now my home theatre is complete and breathtaking. I've been meaning to write this review for quite sometime now, but I've been too busy with life... and that includes watching movies and sports galore on my home theater! I ordered the Epic 80/800 even before the 800s were ready to ship. The system came with the VP150 back then and I was truly happy with that, (it's now being used in the TV room). but when I saw the VP180 I knew I just had to! It was a no-brainer yet WOW!! I knew it would be great, but I wasn't expecting this kind of greatness! The clarity is unbelievable! Just like another owner stated in their review, I too now listen to music in surround mode. And I have been spending WAAAY too much money on blu-ray music discs (be it concerts, or just music). Make no mistake about it... you will NOT be disappointed when adding this puppy to your system! And don't forget you'll be getting top-notch customer service with Axiom!

I found out about your products from internet sites like Home Theater Shack, AVSforum ect... I was looking for an upgrade to my home theater system. In my research you had the best product for the price. I was sold the second I saw the VP180. I was looking for big sound, and that was the biggest Center of any other manufacture in my price range.Price. You had the best bang for the buck. I spent a year looking, and I kept coming back to your products. Quality. I spent alot of time researching, and no one had anything but good things to say about your products. "I was looking to purchase surround speakers and I used a search engine. I read about your "QS8 speakers" and decided to give them a shoot. After hearing them on my system I was sold. The quality, style and performance blew me away. I then followed up with your "M22 Rear Channel Speakers" and also very happy with my choice. But, the cream of the crop was my most recent purchase of your "VP180 Center Channel Speaker" In the past year I have tried " Acoustic Research, Klipsch and Polk Audio" center channel speakers and they all sounded flat to me. The VP180 is so rich in sound I'm glad I went for it."

"This year i purchased the Axiom VP-180 center channel speaker and couldn't be happier. Excellent for movies and my audio listening is now done using surround sound settings. Voices and instruments are realistically portrayed with good depth and height of the sound stage. A well-engineered product.My previous center channel was fine for movies (a VP-150) but not equal to the task of meshing with the PSB T6 mains for surround sound audio reproduction.I plan to upgrade the Paradigm rear speakers to QS8's this year.
